Led by the Founder of the Revolution, Imam Khomeini, Iranians confronted the forces of US-proxy Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi in late 1977 to end dictatorship rule in the country. By December 1978, millions of Iranians would take to the streets in protest against the policies of the Shah on a regular basis.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned from exile to Iran to be received by cheering crowds after the departure of the Shah in mid-January 1979. Two weeks later, the country saw the Islamic Revolution. The final collapse of the Shah’s regime came on February 11 when the military renounced its loyalty to the Shah and joined the revolutionary forces.

On this day three decades ago, people took to the streets to celebrate the collapse of the Pahlavi Dynasty and the emergence of the new era.

Today, after 30 years, Iranians have turned out in the millions to mark the historic day once again, demonstrating their adherence to the principles and philosophy of the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian mission to the United Nations has also commemorated the occasion in a reception held at the UN’s Headquarters in New York. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon attended the ceremony.

On April 1, 1979, Iranians cast their ballots in a national referendum. An astonishing 98.2 percent of the votes endorsed the establishment of an Islamic Republic.

This is a frank truth that US couldn’t go forward with Iran by the language of threat and war. And this kind of policy led US in the weakest position.

Don’t you feel a need for change in this kind of policy? U.S and Israel failed in wars against Hamas and Hizbolla. Then while the language of wild jungle doesn’t work, they would better to experience the language of human being and sit on the back of negotiation table and talk with Iran.

Obama is stepping in the right path. Democracy rules are great assessment for human being. If they don’t work then we should discard them and find substitution for them. Man has experienced the language of war and terror and bloodshed for thousands of years and finally found out that this policy doesn’t work in long term.

I as an Iranian reformist believe that it is more possible to find the solution to misunderstandings between Iran and US in a friendly democratic atmosphere than in the hostile atmosphere of military war.

Some believe talking is useful just in friendly positions, and in disagreements it isn’t useful to talk and we should fight. Then they suggest U.S politicians to attack Iran and put aside all the civilized and democratic solutions. They ridicule Obama for talking without any preconditions to Iran. But we should know that a democratic solution is always better than a military solution.

This is not the first time that Isreal threaten Iran and Iran is used to this timid claimes.

Iran is very different to Hamas and Hizbolla. Here the first and most experienced modern army in the middle east which will present an Unexpected answer to Israeal.
I am not a supporter of Ahmadinejad but a reformist and a supporter of president Khatami. and this is is the answer of whole Iranian people not the supporters of President Ahmadinejad.

Hamas really represents the Palestine nation in a clear democratic way. Nobody can deny the fact that Hamas democratically won the public election about two years ago. Yet the UN and the west and even some Arab nations do not make any political relations with Hamas.

Hamas and Palestinian people have experienced loneliness for 60 years. Now and in the 22 day war they learnt the great fact that the key of their victory is in their own hand. And they should depend on themselves and their own resistance not the timid Arab governments or the United Nation.

Chased from Europe by genocide, testosterone bearing people settled in Palestine in the mist of a different race of testosterone bearing people. That, of course, is a catalyst for war. One group had the assistance of the United Nations. The other group did not. From this explosive mixture, came the birth of a country called Israel and the start of a very long terrorist “war”.

Israeli terrorists were allowed to change from terrorist roles to political roles in order to guide the newly borne country of Israel. HAMAS, even 60 years later, was not allowed to enter a substantial political West Bank role. It seems the Bush team had decided that once a Palestinian terrorist – always a Palestinian terrorist.

It does appear to be true that testosterone bearing HAMAS never accepted the theft of their land by the United Nations in 1948. Imagine that!!!!!!

But the Middle East should not feel that only HAMAS or the Arab Middle East countries were hurt by America. The BIGGEST HURT appears to have been reserved for America.

America is in “deep weeds”. If America was a true democracy, it is likely that Mr. Bush would have been gone before he practically wrecked the world. But America elects HIGH RANKING POLITICIANS to do its democracy work. However, once elected, they don’t have to serve if they don’t want to.

Some sympathy should be given to America for the Bush team’s actions on America. The Bush team, in its zest to use force to solve all problems may have ignored the art of developing TRUST. Trying to persuade the world’s financial leaders to a course of action required trust – not bullets. Where TRUST was required, the Bush team failed. And the economic meltdown continued.

With 1 million words in its language, there should be an English word that clearly drives home a description of the aftermath of the Bush  team’s political performance ON America. One neocon politely called it “BAD LUCK”. But that can’t be right. How is it humanly possible to have 100% bad luck? How is it possible to escape the laws of chance? Practically EVERYTHING the Bush team touched turned into a “train-wreck”. The laws of chance may have played a role If half of everything the Bush team touched came out “respectable”.

HAMAS’s resistance to the 1948 theft of  Palestinian land should come as no surprise. And one would expect Israel to be the last country to apply killing as a solution to its occupying stolen land. While Israel does not appear to want the “final solution” at this time, there is every indication that Israel does not want to see nuclear weapons as tools in the hands of HAMAS or Iran. Trying to keep stolen land stolen may require that the United Nation’s IAEA look hard at Iran while ignoring Israel.

Muslims arrived early in North America. By the eighteenth century, there were many Muslims in North America. Great numbers of Americans have entered the fold of Islam. They are from different classes: the rich, the poor, the educated, and the illiterate. Today, there are about five and a half million Muslims in the United States.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official has announced that the government would ensure all combat forces were withdrawn from Gaza by the time President-Elect Barack Obama is sworn-in as the 44th US President in Washington on Tuesday.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband told the House of Commons that there were two post-conflict challenges facing Gaza: stopping the flow arms to Hamas and delivering reconstruction aid.

Israel has promised it would not stand in the way of substantial rebuilding in the devastated enclave – as long as Hamas does not benefit from the shipments of aid and cash infusions.

Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the EU external affairs commissioner, called on Hamas and factions controlled by President Mahmoud Abbas to unite, so that aid could be could be administered by civil servants from the Palestinian Authority.

A total of 40,000 tons of food and medicines had been transported into Gaza since the offensive began, a spokesman for the Israeli humanitarian effort said.

The overall death toll of Operation Cast Lead stood above 1,300, including more than 400 children. Another 5,300 were wounded. Israel reported a death toll of 13.

Hamas officials said 5,000 homes, 16 government buildings and 20 mosques were destroyed and 20,000 houses damaged in the three-week war.

Nobody can deny the fact that Iranian rulers have a strong position in Iranian society. In fact Iranian rulers have no supporter but Iranian people. Nobody can deny the fact tat Iranian government is not dependent to the Western powers or the Eastern powers. It is not also dependent to its army.

So we can say there is a kind o democracy in Iran. But it is different from the type of democracy in anywhere in the world. It is a very complicated system that even many great politicians of the world can not really understand it.

For example US president George W Bush couldn’t really get a clear concept of Iranian system of ruling. His 8 year of presidency finished, yet he didn’t understand the secret of power in Iran…
